Interior Configuration Guide
- Plain interior — simplest and most economical. Just a folded leather sleeve. Bill or receipt slides in loose. Popular for casual dining.
- Card slot interior — single slot holds a business card or loyalty card alongside the receipt. Adds a professional touch at minimal extra cost.
- Receipt window — clear plastic window on the interior allows the bill total to be visible without opening the folder. Useful in high-volume environments.
- Pen loop — elastic or leather loop holds a ballpoint pen. Useful if servers carry the presenter to the table with pen included.
Black vs Tan — Which Colour?
Black is by far the most ordered colour for check presenters — it is neutral, hides marks and suits almost any restaurant interior. Tan brown is popular for rustic, bistro and wine bar aesthetics. Dark brown works well for formal dining rooms. Burgundy suits high-end European restaurants and wine-focused venues.
Logo & Branding Options
- Gold foil stamp — the most popular option. Sharp, premium result. Send vector artwork (AI or EPS).
- Silver foil stamp — suits dark leather well; popular for modern, minimal restaurant brands.
- Blind deboss — pressed into the leather with no foil. Subtle, tactile finish for understated branding.
- Colour emboss — raised logo in a contrasting colour, e.g. white on black leather. For bold, design-led restaurants.
Size Customisation
- Any size is possible. Send us your receipt paper dimensions and we’ll size the presenter to match.
- Landscape (wide) format available for certain table service styles.
- No tooling fee for custom sizes on check presenters.
Interior Customisation
- Choose your interior configuration at the sample stage — we can combine card slot + pen loop in a single unit.
- Interior lining colour can be specified (black, cream, tan).
- Custom rubber band or ribbon closure available for higher-end designs.
Matching with Menu Covers
Many buyers order check presenters alongside menu covers — same leather colour, same logo treatment. We can ensure colour consistency across both products by producing from the same material batch. Coordinate your full table identity: menu covers, wine list covers, check presenters and clipboards in one order.

Our standard size is 13×22 cm (closed), which fits most standard till roll and A5 receipt paper. If you use a specific receipt size, send us the dimensions and we’ll produce accordingly — no extra charge for custom sizing on check presenters.
Yes — and we recommend it. If you’re ordering both menu covers and check presenters, we can produce them from the same leather batch to ensure colour consistency. Send us both enquiries at the same time and we’ll quote as a set. A coordinated table identity makes a strong impression on guests.
A useful rule is 1.5× your table count. For a 40-table restaurant, order 60 presenters — this allows for damage and loss over time. Since our MOQ is 50 pieces, this works well for most independent restaurants. If you have fewer than 35 tables, order 50 pieces anyway — the spares serve as replacements.
A magnetic snap closure opens and closes smoothly with one hand — useful in high-volume table service where speed matters. A press-stud (popper) is more secure but requires two-handed opening — better suited for formal dining where the presenter stays closed until presented to the guest. Both are available at the same price. An open spine (no closure) is the simplest and cheapest option, suited to casual restaurants where the bill is simply slid inside.
Full-grain leather check presenters typically last 3–6 years in a restaurant environment with regular use and occasional cleaning. PU leather typically lasts 1–3 years. The main wear points are the spine (repeated opening) and the logo area. Our products use reinforced stitching at all stress points. We recommend budgeting for replacement every 2–3 years for PU and 4–6 years for full-grain.
